Little Monsters saying "Happy Mother's Day"
Well we have had a lovely day today and been totally spoilt with cups of tea, roast dinner cooked, present, cards and an afternoon to do anything at all. So what else would we do than spend it in the craft room!
We started with a blank ivory scalloped card, a couple of pieces of green card, orange card and white card, spiced marmalade and peeled paint distress ink pads, a light grey promarker, black archival ink pad, some clear embossing powder, a googly eye and some small foam pads. We used two Woodware stamps, the first one was Surprise JGS455, the second one was The Blimps JGS456
The first image was stamped onto the white card with the black ink and heat embossed using the clear powder and then onto a piece of the green card (but not embossed). We cut off the torn edges, curled them using a paintbrush handle and positioned them using the foam pads.
The distress ink pads were stamped onto our glass cutting mat and colour was picked up with a water brush then used to paint the image. A light grey promarker was used to outline the alien / monster image, which helps make him pop, and to colour in the shadow of the torn poster image. The word surprise was stamped in a random way onto the white card also using the distress ink pads and then heat embossed with the clear powder. A piece of cut-n-dry foam was used to add some colour to the outside of the image with spiced marmalade ink pad. We rounded the corners of the three pieces of cardstock which was stuck down using double-sided tape and foam pads.
We hope you like our Surprise! card, we adore these little guys and will be using them to make all sorts of great card toppers and probably on a few scrapbook pages too.
Off to have a small glass of wine to finish off a wonderful, relaxing day, so until next time.............
Happy crafting xxxx
